I AM MORE THAN MY SKIN CAMPAIGN

The “I AM MORE THAN MY SKIN” campaign aimed to challenge societal norms & promote a deeper understanding of individuals beyond their physical appearance. This multifaceted initiative involved designing & selling thought-provoking t-shirts & hosting a virtual event featuring esteemed guest speakers who shared their insights on looking beyond skin color, race, & religion to appreciate the richness of human experiences.

The campaign kicked off with the creation of a collection of visually captivating t-shirts. The design was carefully crafted to convey the message that people should be recognized and valued for their inner qualities, character, talents, & passions rather than solely judged based on external appearances. The t-shirts featured and impactful slogan and imagery that encouraged conversation & introspection.

The virtual event was organized, providing a platform for influential guest speakers to share their personal stories & perspectives. These special guests represented diverse backgrounds & experiences, including individuals who have faced discrimination based on their skin color, race, or religion. They shared their journeys of resilience, success, & the power of embracing one’s true self beyond societal stereotypes.

In addition to raising awareness & promoting dialogue, the campaign generated funds through the sale of the t-shirts. The proceeds were directed towards supporting organizations & initiatives that work towards combating discrimination, promoting social justice & fostering inclusivity.

The “I AM MORE THAN MY SKIN” campaign successfully sparked conversations, challenged preconceived notions, & fostered a sense of empathy & understanding. By combining the power of visual messaging, guest speaker insights, & interactive discussions, the campaign encouraged individuals to embrace the concept of seeing & valuing others for their true essence rather than superficial judgments based on physical appearance.

The Return Home

In these compelling interviews, L. White & U.S. veterans shed light on the social justice issues they faced upon returning home from war, revealing the discrimination they experienced. The veterans candidly shared their personal stories, detailing the challenges they encountered as they reintegrated into society and confronted biases and mistreatment.

The interview provided a platform for these veterans to voice their experiences, highlighting the stark contrast between the heroism & sacrifice they displayed while serving their country & the unjust treatment they encountered upon their return. They recounted instances of discrimination based on their veteran status, including difficulties in finding employment, accessing healthcare & reintegrating into their communities.

The interview aimed to raise awareness & provoke reflection, encouraging society to examine its treatment of veterans & to recognize the importance of honoring their service beyond mere rhetoric. It underscored the urgent need for greater advocacy, support systems & policy changes to address the social injustices faced by veterans & promote their well-being & inclusion in society.
